Absolute scroll saw newbie has just been given a present.

Is this the one with the tension at the front? Pinned blades only ? As already suggested the Pegas blades are a massive improvement on the bog standard variety (often a couple of which are supplied with the saw) Although fairly low spec it should still provide some good pieces Plenty of...

ALDI have got the table saw. Again

Firstly, your Parkside table saw is not the same as the Aldi table saw , even the Aldi saw sold today is not the same saw as I bought from Aldi about 14 months ago and looking online there are clearly different versions of the Parkside table saw You obviously had a bad experience with both...

ALDI have got the table saw. Again

I mentioned the three year warranty as a point of fact, its a selling point, should there be a problem it could be returned, unlike many other retailers who try to avoid returns or obligation As I have had no problem I have not had the need Its not junk, neither is it made out of cheese ;-)...

ALDI have got the table saw. Again

I have the Aldi table saw, it does what I expect of it I can't afford hundreds of pounds for a table saw, so its either the Aldi version or none Plus they have a three year warranty and delivered to my door for free There are plenty of tools I would buy second hand, but a table saw isn't...

    Which finishes are childsafe?

Wow, I may give them a miss personally Cheapest thing they have is a 100ml sample pot at £4.50 ! £78 for 5l of emulsion Farrow & Ball paint is a good option as its all water based and organic: "Our paints have been independently tested and approved to meet the Toy Safety Standard* so...

    Which finishes are childsafe?

I went down this avenue a while ago, I gave up in the end as its such a minefield I guess if its for use within the family circle, that is one thing but trying to comply with all the rules regarding selling toys etc is a waste of time IMHO, not worth the effort

You seem to have an awful lot more faith in the authorities than I do ;-) And as the EU is down the pan, so to speak, what then It seems to me it puts yet more regulation on companies who are likely to do things the right way anyway The emails I receive are by and large ones I want to receive

    Currys/PCworld

All very good in theory But as the vast majority of spam comes from countries outside of any data protection agency it will have zero effect on the volume of spam IMHO

    ALDI - TableSaw £89.99

I had to smile at some of the comments, I then noticed the dates of posting so stopped reading them ;-) I bought this table saw about a year or more ago, I do not use it a lot but it does what I require of a saw How anyone can complain at this price I don't know, if you expect a rolls royce...

    Currys/PCworld

Not sure there is anything to complain about really? Surely everyone knows that a company requesting an email address means they are going to use it for mail shots? I use one email address for all advertising etc, just check it periodically I have had some good offers for things via these...

    Amazing product

Takes me back some years ;-) Along with sky hooks, rubber nails, etc And the often repeated chore of sending youngsters to the stores for a long weight ;-) A local supplier phoned us to say they had sent an apprentice for a box of sky hooks, when he arrived on a Honda 50, we duly obliged...
