    What the??

Thanks for that, but I don't think so, its a clockwise cutting face, so that would drive a wood screw in further I hadn't noticed before but both ends appear to be damaged, ie the very end seems to be snapped off I was wondering if it was a lathe bit ? Now I see its broken its likely to be...

    Scrollsaw for metal

Scroll saw blades are generally of a standard length, so its a matter of whether you want pinned blades or pinless, I have only ever used pinned for cutting metal and had no problem at all I would have a word with Axminster tools, they have Pegas metal cutting blades, and I am sure could advise...

    Oil stone refurb

Thanks for your reply, all useful stuff Yes I was taken with the rather nice box, better than others I have had by a long way, it has suffered with age but is largely intact, not looking to get it back to perfect but a reasonable state for use, a small amount of inlay has been lost but is...

    Dinosaurs puzzle

Nicely done! I would suggest trying some Pegas blades , you will notice the difference in ease of use and much reduced need for sanding after

    GDPR

I am feeling quite left out I haven't had an email from Robert Sorby :-( Not that I want one of course but if emails were being scraped off this forum or sold on surely it would be all not just a few ? I have had GDPR requests from all and sundry other previous suppliers/advertisers though...

    Why ?

Yes one of the problems of using quick produced timber This started out as the base of a wardrobe, kindly donated by a neighbour over the road :-)
  17. W

    Why ?

It wasn't a total loss It was out with the superglue, the break was clean and seems to have glued up alright If it was a sold piece I would have started again but as this was a gift I cheated It seems pretty solid anyway and just hope its liked by my sis in law
  18. W

    Why ?

Does this only seem to happen right at the end of a project :-( It was all glued up and had a first coat of lacquer I have it final fine sand and was just gently brushing off the dust, ready for a couple more coats to finish it off then send off Sadly your hands don't seem to have the grip...
