    Axminster tools postage

If you need good ply then you should try the stuff here? It's a bit lighter than the worst U.K. stuff. That's because it full of holes! I was spoiled before we moved over here because just down the road from where we lived is Severn Ply. They always had very good quality stuff and a hell of a...

    Small appetites need not apply!

That's where the difference lies Bob. Nouvelle cuisine is not the same as cordon bleu necessarily . NQ prides itself on small but beautiful and is a pay more for less but was essential for the snobs. We have several very good restaurants around us here and a couple of them are in what is one of...

    Small appetites need not apply!

It's was always called nouvelle cuisine and it's just a way of selling less and charging more. But the 'chic' prats bought it hook line and sinker. More fool them! It seems to have gone out of style a lot here. I hate painted plates with everything looking as if Vincent van G has had a bad day...

    New telephone problem

Living on this side of the cut and the price difference on most occasions we do buy from amazon U.K. frequently and on the odd time we have had problems they are sorted as soon as they are reported. Stuff has been replaced as soon as they are told. Repayment is the same. Returns have been free...

    Axminster tools postage

They charge £5 for up to 1kg to me here and it's about the best I have found. I wanted a couple of small bits from another firm and sneezed VERY loudly when they said the post was going to be £15!! That literally doubled the cost of the kit!!

    plum crazy, what else?

I love virtually everything apart from 'used food' i.e. tripe. It's absoloutly disgusting and there is more here than there in the U.K. Foie gras is one of my favourites along with smoked salmon. Both not expensive here. The prunes the French do are totally different and fantastic. Moist and...

Handy hint on defogging your car

I used to put a vacuum cleaner in mine. Switched on of course. It blows out quite a lot of warm air and not just clears the windows, all of them, but warms the dar as well. About 10 mins does the job.

Handy hint on defogging your car

50 years    !!! Wouldn't it be quicker to scrape it off  I once knew a real smatrass who saw a neighbour using warm water. He thought it would be much quicker with hot water instead. He got a bucket full and chucked it at the windscreen. The first thing iit...

Wiring a switch into an extension lead

This sort of thing http://www.amazon.co.uk/Energenie-Remot ... ght+switch Plug it in the wall, plug your lamps into it and read the instructions. Dead easy, no wiring changes. I have 3 lamps in our lounge on a controller similar and it's just so easy. If the one abouve is a bit expensive there...

I think that the moron who wrote this should go back to junior school where he/she belongs http://www.theguardian.com/business/201 ... ate-change I didn't finish the article. I just didn't have the stomach for or indeed see the point of the drivel and idiotic way of writing it!

    Swiss Navy

I want to see if they have any 14" bang sticks on 'em? The Royal Air Force call the fleet air arm 'penguins'. The idea being 'all flap, no fly' and it looks pretty good at the moment. Not sure where the name 'crab fats' came from though :? :?

Hilarious spam letter about my PayPal account

Oh dear Graham! Now what are you going to do without your paypal account? You have to admit that it looks genuine? Just a mo, another pig just flew past our window :? :?

    Swiss Navy

They will have to be a bit careful with that F35 though? If anything attacks it it can't shoot back, can't turn, but it can make a lot of noise    I like the idea of the recoil from a launch getting the next aircraft Eric, very neat =D> =D>
