Pewter, brittle??? Not any of the pewter I have ever drank out of and I carry my pewter pot in my car and have done so since I got back from Singapore in 1969. :mrgreen: :mrgreen: There is only a tiny amount of lead in pewter and the alloy is a lot harder than lead, but not brittle.

I have to agree that it looks very interesting too! It's amazing what you can find in a lump of old wood and I remember once at a craft fair when a young boy asked me how I knew that that bowl was inside a lump of wood :shock:

as in my post up a bit. We got rid of our latex mattress just before Christmas, complete with the mem foam topper. Even with the topper it was too hard and the foam ensemble just made it too dammed hot to boot. We now have our new CottonSafe no chemical mattress and it is very comfortable...
