I have managed to burn out a L ion Makita drill. Can they be repaired economically or is it time for a new one ?

Does anyone know the size of collet required for a router shaft for a felder 741 of 2006 vintage They are available from Felder for 40 plus pounds but can be had on fleabag for around £7 but I need the size
