Wall mount 16amp 2P+E - with interlock switch?

It's likely I will move things around a bit, so hardwiring wouldn't be my first choice

Wall mount 16amp 2P+E - with interlock switch?

Shed wired by electrician. 40amp breaker in the house to the shed, armoured cable. Will fit type C 20amp MCB and run 2.5mm twin&earth to isolator switch. Then out to 16 amp socket. It isn't rocket science.

Hadn't thought of that , what type of switches have you in mind and would 16amp suffice?

Wall mount 16amp 2P+E - with interlock switch?

Hi all For wall mounting a 230V 16AMP socket, I will need two sockets ; one for bandsaw the other for P/T. Is a wall mountable unit with interlocking switch and socket necessary? They are quite expensive when compared to a straight 16amp socket. This is for hobby only and I would never have...

Advice on Lean-To Build for sideway at House

Hi All I have a narrow access laneway down the side of my house, about 1.2m gap from the outer leaf of my house to the party garden wall. I plan on installing some metal box profile roofing onto 4x2 pressure treated lumber on the house wall, obviously with a fall, to some arrangement at the...

Setting up for high power 230v machines, 20amp

The run might be up to 10m but my shed is only 8m long x 4m wide

Setting up for high power 230v machines, 20amp

    1. Shed is quite small. Cable run from shed fuseboard to each machine socket would be no more than 10m 2. Cable will be clipped onto a block wall.

Setting up for high power 230v machines, 20amp

Cheers. In my main box in the house, the Shed supply has a 40Amp type B MCB. I cannot get 3.00 mm cable so perhaps 4.0mm2 with 20amp plugs, and a 20AMP type C MCB in the fuse box in the shed

Setting up for high power 230v machines, 20amp

Thanks a lot for the detailed explanation. The fuse board is already in the shed, just as you say, it's at the door so I can kill the power easily on the way out. This was installed by an electrician so everything is setup correctly and I guess the hard work is done (armoured cable out to me...
