    Belt sander advice needed

    Got this one after the Makita died, I'd highly reconmend it, as it is reasonably priced for a sander of its size, AND it COMES with a sanding FRAME. The frame is a bit fiddly to fit and remove, but that is in comparison to the FESTOOL sanders. By and by you gets a fair ol' bang for your buck.

    Lin extramite is a trade name for a glue that was once called CASCAMITE a resorsinal based glue, which comes as a whitish powder that is then mixed with water to the required paste consistency. Often used in the boat world as it sticks like s^*t to everything :oops: DAMHIKT !

    looking at a typical chair tenon tenon size of 3/4" and for the strecher 1/2" these sizes allow for maximum flexiblity re; joints and uses ie; chairs & shaves. HS in Oostfriesland with a gale blowing = no roofing today :(

    :) well another day at the roof , got the last rafters lifted and put into place. Spent ages on the rafters drilling for the over sized dowels :) and I even got started on the roof membrane. wedged dowel the roof membrane going on finally for tonight
