Good point pike. There may be few operators that actually clean their blades from time to time and the residue can build up and increase the kerf of the blade. Quite easy to do and doesn't take long with a small wire brushand cloth and moving the blade by hand when the power is disconnected...

Thats right Paul, table alignment, just trying to think of anything that would be out of line. I presume that you re-tuned the smaller blade and adjusted tension when changing blades. Also possible tension may be out ? Malcolm

Hi Paul, first thing is the blade damaged by the screw ? If not,is the Video the Alex Snodgrass one and are you managing to get the blade running freely ( without guides or rear bearing near the blade ) with the gullet of the teeth in the centre of the top wheel. That's the first priority...

..... but swmbo will do as she pleases and not necessarily that which is logical and sensible. Just make sure she doesn't see this or your food for thought could result in far lkess food for you. :lol: :lol:

With a second machine in the pot, is that on bandsaw or scrollsaw?

Now that sounds more feasable with the blades not having such a difference. Anyone tried a 'note' test on scrollsaws? Malcolm

gareth, don't forget to ytake loads of photos as you progress and post then here so we can see the progress. That clock looks great and I saw the build video somew time ago, somewhere and it was facinating. Good luck with that. I have used Paduk and its a nice wood, but I used ordinanry...

When I moved from photography to woodworking, three lenses funded all my equipment. I still have the 7D and a good lens but not using it at all now.

My household insurance covers any possession I have that is away from home up to £5,000. so if the camer belonged to the insured, then it's covered. Not sure what value there would be with camera, lenses, tripod possibly lights, card, battery etc, which covered me when I was into photography in...

I doubt it, but I have heard of looking for a specific 'note'. You have so many ways to 'tune' and balance your bandsaw and should be 'there' by now. Good idea to backtrack on all the video's you have seen on tuning bandsaws and try and get comfortable with the results. No good to keep on...
