    systainers

I will have a look but I have some Festool stuff, so it is useful that they clip together. It isnt essential though.

    systainers

I have a 150mm ROS with no box. I also have various sanding discs that are crying out for some organisation. Is there a sustainer that will fit both together? I have seen the ones for discs with 8 dividers, but the best solution would probably be a lift out tray of discs.

    Repetitive cuts track saw

you could cut and use the waste side of the board as your shelf but you need to allow for the saw kerf. Festool is 2.2mm, your saw blade will probably be fairly similar. I have a set of these which I use from time to time. 2.2mm Track Saw Guide for Festool TS 55 - Waste-side Cut Jig (Pair) —...

    Salt and pepper grinders hardware

I have made quite a few over the last couple of years. I recommend the crush grind too. they do a type with no shaft, but I haven't used those. the stiles and bates catalogue is very useful because it gives you all of the hole sizes, and a couple of critical dimensions...

How well does a Collet reducer work?

I have used one from time to time (I have a small number of 1/4" bits). Never had any issue with slipping or being unable to remove it. Don't recall where it came from, wealdon probably.

    Bench Press alternative

I (personally) would shim it and clamp the jig, but I bow down to the experience of those that have done a similar task before. If I were actually doing it for real, I would ask d_w because I know that he has built guitars!

    Bench Press alternative

sorry, I didn't see the last part of your post about it not being flat, but I think you could make it work. when drilling, there would be some work in setting it up but at least you know where the drill bit is pointing and in what direction.

    Bench Press alternative

you could use something like this Big Gator Tools MDG1000NP V Style Portable Drill Guide - METRIC, 17 Hole | eBay and clamp it down to the guitar. same principle, slightly different Axminster Drill Guide Kit you could easily make one, all that you need is a single hole drilling correctly in...

    is it possible

well, possibly. I think that I saw on another thread that you were just beginning, so it is probably a project to save for another day. I think that you could probably use a technique called inside out turning. take this for instance (I haven't watched this person before but it has a decent...

    Pattern Makers Chisels?

when you say offered though. good photos and a bit of cleaning- eg wipe down with a oily rag- and they may well offset what you would need to spend on turning tools.

    Pattern Makers Chisels?

nice things. but absolutely not suitable for turning. dont even try it.

    Drill bits

I am tempted to blunt some drills to justify that!

    advice please

If the wooden handled one isnt essential, there was a link to a starrett one on the deals forum the other day. A fiver or so on Amazon. Performance wise it is all that you will ever need. As for a wooden handled one, I don't know but would suggest looking at Peter section toolshop. Good...

    Child's desk

I need to make a quick desk for my 9year old daughter. Normally for an adult, I would make it 750mm tall. Is there a suggested height for a child friendly one? It needs to be for doing actual school work on, many of the children's desks and tables online seen to be for younger kids. This...

    Kippers

I always turned my nose up at tinned fish. still not very keen on tinned tuna, but I enjoy most of the others that I have tried- usually on toast for lunch. There is a very good range in most supermarkets now too.

    Help Choosing A Chuck

at least with 1" x 8 you should have the choice of most chucks out there. One thing that I would say is dont go wild for jaws to start with. Start with a standard set and add to them when you need to. they are too expensive to buy on the off chance that you need them.
