check the alighnment of the head and tail stock as they can be out of alighnment, I have a heavy VB36 350 kg and sometimes get vibrations usually I dial the speed up or down untill it stops usually on bigger bowls though.

I use one of these on a 200 litre plastic drum with 100mm hoses, works a treat, hardly any dust goes to the extractor now, if it does it is very fine and never shavings or chippings from the machines

Is it a direct drive? if so you may loose torque compared to changing belt locations to ensure motor is delivering peak torque at all speeds. But if the price is right.............

i often use coach screws and impact driver - I also drill additional holes in all my face plates as usually they are small and insufficient in number, just make sure the bolt heads clear the head stock. I have mounted some pretty big stuff this way on my VB36

I have one of these and can thoroughly recommend to anyone, mine runs of standard 13 amp 3 pin plug with no issues for the past 10 years. very accurate in use and easy to add lockable castors for ease of movement.
