    salvaged wood

I think this will help with a corresponding plug cutter. You can also make your own out of old car door springs! They work best in a pillar drill but with care can be used in a hand held drill. https://www.woodcraft.com/products/screw-extractor-1-4

    Black streak in pippy oak

That looks really good. No need to use borax just plain old tap water will do.

Restoring a sheen to Pitch Pine

Below is a post of mine from several years ago which should cover your needs. I would use Johnsons floor paste wax. I know it says 'floor' but it is a very good general purpose wax and smells like wax should smell! Jenkins make their own floor wax which is almost identical to Johnsons which you...

    Black streak in pippy oak

I would try oxalic acid as a first step. if it does bleach out the stain it should be permanent. Mix up a strong solution of oxalic with boiling water (you will need good thick rubber gloves) using a nylon pad spread the oxalic over the entire board and then with a firm pressure concentrate on...

    Boiled Linseed Oil

Steve, sand your finish down to 400g then use 0000 wire wool with a firm pressure until it starts to take on a burnished look then wax with anything other than a toluene based wax.

    Baby safe paint for projects?

If you just want small amounts for a rattle like the one you have in the photo the paints below might prove expensive. You could look at natural stains like turmeric, beetroot, blackberry and coffee. https://www.organicnaturalpaint.co.uk/wood-finishes/

White filler on sanded hardwood door.

You will be hard pushed to tone down the filler with stain. A better way will be to use some pigment mixed with either a small amount of the osmo oil you are going to use or with some shellac. If you have some earth pigments they will mix very well with the oil, or you could buy a tube set of...

    Jacking castors

I have not seen castors like this before Superstrat, they look really good, although very expensive.

    Jacking castors

I have the 14-S5 and I have mounted it on these castors http://www.bulldogcastors.co.uk/index.p ... =PB-EM1450 I got two braked and two un braked and fitted them diagonally. I just bolted them through the existing holes on the feet. They work very well, the saw glides across the floor easily ( I...

    Wood bleach mistake

I think everyone that has replied to you has pretty much covered everything, as ED65 said, rinse at least three times preferably with warm water, changing rags frequently. All i can add is that whenever I use bleach on furniture whether it be oxalic or A+B I always bleach over the whole area to...

    Refinish table top

I don't think you will be able to brush on a dark finish without getting it streaky. The colour needs to be achieved in the stain, so if you have a pre existing finish this will be difficult without taking the finish right back to the wood. Do you know what finish is on the table?

Oak and Iroko Utility Worktop Finish

I have never tried wiping varnish but always thought it was more a finish for furniture, Any yacht vanish will do the job such as this one https://www.screwfix.com/p/no-nonsense- ... 5ltr/95447 If you want a 'best' quality varnish, your local ships chandeliers will be the place to go.
