    Tiny 8 x 6 workshop, Part 2. Sort of...

3 sheddy things! That's just greedy! 12x9...what luxury. Ye Gods...I bet you can even turn round without touching anything!

    Tiny 8 x 6 workshop, Part 2. Sort of...

I know, I know, I know.... But it seemed such a good idea at the time, Fitzroy.... I'm now coming across little niggly things as well....the Aldi tool boxes, for example... I know! I'll sit them at the back of the bench, against the wall, in what I loosely describe as the tool rest! No. No, you...

    Tiny 8 x 6 workshop, Part 2. Sort of...

Spurred on - nay! Inspired! - by nosuchhounds'"Tiny 8 x 6 workshop" thread below and a few days of good weather, I determined to sort my shed properly. I scrounged 3 scaffold boards off my wife's employer, and ripped apart a few pallets so I could laminate some sturdy legs and stretchers and...

"Right, ladies and gents...after all those questions, it's down to a tie-break! Here's your decider! Who's the only Formula 1 driver to win the World Championship for both McLaren and Ferrari?" "Lauda!" "I asked Who's the only Formula 1 driver to win the World Championship for both McLaren and...

The things your parents said to you...

Just remembered another of my mother's irritating ones.... "Mum, have you seen my [insert required item]? "Why, what are you wanting it for?" I would then give the reason why the desired item was needed, before she'd reply.... "No."

    Would you walk up?

Well, you're almost right, but look at the right-hand one! The scaffold board going east-west is resting against the right ladder, with my two north-south boards hastily screwed to the cross beam and the pallet! The bloke top-right had clambered up, trusting the ladder and the bloke on it were...

    Would you walk up?

Well, 5 months have passed by...and the boys actually turned up yesterday. No warning...they just arrived. Courtesy of their two ladders and my pallet and three scaffold boards, they were done in an hour. Told you it would be tricky!

    Parkside lathe....

I did, and I didn't! Yes, I did decide, and following sound advice from the folks on here, decided not to buy! For the minute, gardening duties are the time-takers, to be followed by a shed clean-out, in turn followed by a proper, functioning mini-workshop setup. It says here....:giggle:

    You guys

My 40th is memorable for a lousy reason....I woke with chickenpox! I'd felt a bit rubbish for a couple of days before, but had no idea what was to turn up. I only found out years later how dangerous it can be for adults....

    Have you noticed....

Talking of motoring offences, I saw a cretin on his escooter earlier today who indicated his intention to turn right by sticking his leg out. Suffice to say, this caused him to adjust his overall balance by leaning himself - and the machine - at a perilous angle to the left. Another three brain...

    Joke Thread III

A man was shopping in a supermarket when he noticed a woman looking in his direction. He went through the checkout and was walking to the exit when the same woman approached him. "I believe you're the father of one of my children?" Racking his brains as to where he'd seen her before, he...
