    The wonder of the domino

Not to mention all the aircraft are composite now so it's all going cheap! I guess if you have to make a ton of joints at the same place, that jig is worth it. For doing 6 its probably overkill.

Nuts and fasteners for aluminium tracks and fences

I thought it was people your age telling us whippersnappers that imperial is easy and fractions are easy!

    The wonder of the domino

Louis out of interest did you do the full depth in the first pass or did you do it in multiple passes like you would a normal router? EDIt: scrub that, you obviously had to do multiple plunges along the length of the mortice, not slide the domino along the mortice.

    Newbie Alert.

Were this blanket statement in any way accurate there would be a lot less hot hatches in crumpled wrecks and a lot less people dead as a result. As I said earlier, there are more issues on the road that I think cause danger for others that barely get caught or punished at all. There are plenty...

    The wonder of the domino

I look forward to eventually receiving mine! I placed an order for one at the start of October and its still not arrived due to the delays getting a lot of things at the moment. I'm sure others have used it in the way you just have, but the only useage I've ever seen in videos is just making...

DBT85s Workshop - Moved in and now time to fit it out

Yeah I'll be putting together a bit of a writeup on it in the tools section here as there isn't much out there for these saws. I've already lready started taking apart a bit further and detailing what I've found. I was stunned that the main table alone comes in at 50kg before you add the side...

Dust hose adaptor problems - be gone!

Dave, forgive me for maybe not seeing clearly but can you clear up the ambiguity in your dimensions. "Cyclone output 50mm internal" Is the 50mm the internal diameter of the 3d printed coupler (to go outside the cyclone) or is 50mm the external diameter of the coupler (to go inside the cyclone)...

Workbench tops what material HDF?? MDF Ply

18mm MDF or hardwood/birch ply will be absolutely fine and the dogs will be fine too. You could buy a pre drilled MFT replacement (I did) or you can contact one of them and they'll make you one to whatever size and hole pattern you want. They just load it into the CNC and let it get in with it...

    Newbie Alert.

I too got marked down on my driving test many years ago for not going fast enough by about 5mph. I don't mind getting done for speeding. It's a fair cop. Put the average speed cameras on all the motorways as I find they work great at stopping people sitting on my bumper and driving better in...

Dust hose adaptor problems - be gone!

If I get a chance at work tomorrow night I'll draw something and you can double check it.

Sip 01446 12" Table saw details, repairs and review

We'll today I eventually managed to lump it all round to the workshop on my own. I spent a bit of time with a brush and the vacuum to get the remnants of sawdust off and started to take stock of what I had. I know when we unhooked everything that there was a bolt missing for the motor where it...

    Sketchup drawing and finished project

That's my equation, made it and worked it out my own self. I don't think sketch up has any functionality like that. The best it can do is have one clone component update all the others. Sketch up is totally fine for many many people. I literally only even tried fusion as I saw what it could...

DBT85s Workshop - Moved in and now time to fit it out

The whole lot just goes literally around the whole workshop so he was happy using a ring. I can't see a 4mm radial being a better option in this instance.

Dust hose adaptor problems - be gone!

If you give some dimensions we can draw some up, unless you've done that bit already. Cost of the print itself isn't really much of a factor. Electricity and filament brings one adapter to probably 50p. Posting it will naturally cost more. The further issue is you tell me 58mm internal, I print...

DBT85s Workshop - Moved in and now time to fit it out

I didn't have any that needed it and had no expectaton of getting any soon, nor did I know where I would want them. Now that I have a car full of cast iron to assemble tomorrow, I will get a 16a installed for that by my electrician at the end of next week. It's sitting on my kitchen worktop...

    Newbie Alert.

I have to be honest, after the 3 hours in a room being forced to interact with the people on my table, and in a room filled mostly with mutes who refused to join in, fun is not what I would use to describe the experience. I did learn a few things about the smart deathtraps motorways and I'm sure...

Sip 01446 12" Table saw details, repairs and review

Well that was one heavy tabelsaw. Basically dismantled it entirely to get it into the car as there was no way we were lifting it in with the top and motor still attached. I'm guessing he must have at some point to get it in there! Since it's in bits I can clean it up, check things and re...
