    try a 13amp fuse..it'll still blow if something is wrong....would take a milli sec longer to blow, thats all...... 5 amp is whats in a tooth brush charger or a small food mixer.......

    we also reg leave usable stuff by our communial bins....drop it off and when u come back from buying bread its gone..... only to pleased someone can make use of it..... got rid of a BBQ rolling metal unit with 1/2 a bag of charcoal...they helped me unload it.......hahaha... not bought a dog...

    how about an articulated beam.....thats with two hinges.....commonly called a dog leg.... or a telescopic tube.....thin wall metal telescopic tube is available on line...... 3m is about as far u can go without special hinges and added stiffness...... easy to make a brake / stiffener to keep it...

    u can see why machines have taken over..... ideal job for a robot..... 2 years ago I stripped out the grout from between the tiles on my 14x5m swimming pool...... using a demolition saw with a carbide blade...... re-did it with 2pack grout.... anyway my back is still bad.....any jobs like that...

    take extra care about the fitting of the handle to the head....... I also polish the inside of the head with a die grinder just to smooth things out..... when fitting the head I use a little oilive oil on the shaft and it get's pressed in on my workshop hyd press..... never had one come...

    I had a prob getting parts from SIP.....the machine parts are not stocked for long..... luckily what I needed I was able to make..... On another forum SIP stuff gets a bad right up but my machine have stood the test of time.... Mostley metal work machines....

    here's my offering coz there's no wooden handles here other than those for garden tools and I still need at least 6 more different sizes and a flat sided/oval one for my dads claw hammer.... the garden tool handles/shaft feel very light and a decent size engineer's hammer shaft is to big to make...
