    Fitting compact laminate worktops?

For splashbacks in sheet form, ive often marked a couple of lines on the wall vertically and horizontally to act as good reference points to measure off. Just double check the measures and you'll be fine 🙂👍 for sockets i often plunge with circ saw and finish the corners with downcut jigsaw.

    Matching oak skirtings/architraves

Are the pieces generally architraves darker, skirts lighter? Or a mixture? Ive fitted lots of oak veneered doors and they often have light and dark veneers mixed up ( howdens ) and it 'works' 🤣 if you really hate it, theres always dulux ( just kidding, i think I'd live with it for a while and...

    Matching oak skirtings/architraves

Photos might help? Personally I'd be reluctant to ditch it unless the difference is very stark. Might be worth getting some osmo whitening oil and doing some testers on the darker stuff. Ie. 1 coat on the architraves and 2 or 3 coats on the skirts. It may or may not work out.

Thats just plain greedy! I hope you won't try to get the dss to pay for it 🤣😁 I know a paramedic. Its so bad that if the hospital dont have any beds, the paramedics keep the patients at home and stay there for the entire shift. So a bed shortage literally takes an ambulance out of service for a...

Relating to private healthcare and your comments, his point was that it takes the burden off the nhs, not that the private sector doesnt do nhs work.... so yes, it reduces nhs costs and waiting times. The fact that the nhs subbies work out wasnt in question or part of the statement

    Timber for 'gate'.

Before any finishing, heat all knots up with a hot air gun. This makes the resin leak out. Let it go hard, chisel off, then treat all knots with meths, followed by a quality knotting solution. Don't, whatever you do, buy it from jewsons 🤨

Why you ask... firstly to secure a mortgage using benfits in the equation is one thing, but to then moan that the free money isnt enough is going a bit far, in my opinion. He should be grateful for the help, not moaning he's disadvantaged, afterall theres a shedload of us, including me, that...

Just floating this ( im not an economist ) If everyone beyond say 18k a year paid a flat rate of 20%, no exceptions, including on bonuses and any other 'benefits' of their job / investments, would we be better or worse off? At the mo a lot of high earners get away with cheating their tax bills...
