Nothing wrong with remote control sockets but you must remember to turn them off when you have finished in the workshop for the day. I had the same situation as Peter a while ago and have never left it on when I am not in the workshop since that day.

Curry's. - Do NOT buy anything from them at the moment.

Most of us just let things go that we are not happy with and move on, but then most of us are not trying to big ourselves up on the internet.

Are Grippers much safer than push sticks?

When using a table saw there are a lot of things to to take into account. No 1 make sure the fence is in line with the blade. No 2 always use the riving knife. No 3 always lower the blade to the minimum height to complete the cut. No 4 always make sure your blade is sharp and is the correct type...

The terms of the auction says all lots except zero rated items are subject to vat on the hammer price. That would be correct if the company the goods came from was vat registered.

    3/8th ratchet

For the last few years or my working life I was in the business of selling tools to the motor trade. I am now clearing out my remaining stock and I have a 1/3 drive ratchet that is not only flex head but is also flex handle and is also quick release. I think that it would be a good addition to...

Trust me there nothing antagonistic and confrontational in my response just put on a photo of your plywood structure for the benefit of others it would not be for my benefit.

    Hen House Timber Choice

Unlike some members I only reply to threads that I have knowledge of. I thought that I had photos of our chicken accommodation in a domestic situation but I haven't and will take one in the morning. Keeping chickens in a garden is not a small undertaking and makes no economic sense but is done...

I was under the impression that this thread was about chicken housing. You have both shown that you know nothing about it.

It's not just the height but also needs to be underground. Part of ours is only 2ft high but has mesh over the top.

Dowel plates? Sensibly priced, & not a transatlantic purchase?

I use what I think is called a nail plate. I have drilled out the holes to the size I need. It not a posh answer but it does work.

    1/8 inch drive hex bits

Are you sure that the ratchet driver has a 1/8 female hex or are you asking if you can buy a 1/8 hex male bit to fit the more standard 1/4 female driver?
