Parkside/Lidl Cordless Pole Saw any opinions please

https://www.mowspares.co.uk/brands-distributors/parkside-parts/33-drive-link-chainsaw-chain-20cm-8-parkside-saws Seems cheap enough to be a disposable part. I'd be surprised if it's anything other than a ⅜ths chain, so files and holders should be easy to get. If you aren't sure take the chain...

    Stainless Gauze Tubing?

Might be worth adding 'knitted wire mesh' to the search. https://filters.co.uk/material/knitted-wire-mesh/ These people may be able to help

What have I done wrong? Carcass not square

My memory isn't always 100% but didn't someone on here post a simple design for a stick gauge for checking diagonals? edit: Pinch sticks

    Does this router bit exist?

Do you mean a rule joint, like a drop leaf table would have?

Excel/Lumberjack 1500w router table problem, Lift lock poorly working

On the Fox version the lock mechanism isn't the best, but I've never had it drop in that fashion. What are you cutting and how deep in one pass? Will the height wheel turn by hand with the lock on? If it turns easily it's faulty and should probably go back. On checking mine it's possible to...

    Strange query

Check out the likes of Farmers Weekly, there are a few companies that do that sort of thing. Whether it's more cost effective than digging it out and replacing I don't know

    Is this dry rot

One of my favourite reviews: "manages not to make the subject matter too dry"!

    Weed Burner rebuild.

Nice restoration of a very useful piece of kit. Often thought about one of these for a mini forge using fire bricks

    Inflator

Stupid question but can you get access from both sides/ends halving the length needed? If not Hobby's sell a 1mm o/d 300mm brass tube if you can solder something up

    help restoring a dining table

You could use a cabinet scraper, but glass will do a great job, surprisingly difficult to break a small piece, and you can dub the short ends with carborundum paper or a devil stick if you are concerned about nicking your thumbs on it

    help restoring a dining table

To save a lot of dust, pop round to your nearest glazing company and beg some offcuts of 4mm glass. Ideally pieces about 50mm x 100mm so a donation to their biscuit fund may help. These pieces, scraped across the top at about a 60 degree angle, will remove the finish quickly and it is possible...

Myford Lathe ML7, Quick Change Gearbox, selling advice

Looking at completed auctions of myfords, there aren't many with the gearbox. Those that had it went nearer £1000

    Basic router questions

I have the Fox version of that Excel table, the things I have noticed are that there are only two insert rings, so some cutters are 'floating in mid air', and any adjustments tend to be fiddly, measure 12 times and cut once. It's a step up from the piece of MDF with a router screwed to it that...

Looks like you may have a bit of 'olive ash' in the middle of those bigger rings, it's lovely stuff

    Chisel for Proxxon MSG

Flexcut do an adapter so you can use their blades on proxxon tools. There is a spoon chisel but I think it only comes as part of a set.

    Chuck Advice

According to Biven Machinery a record SC4 chuck kit weighs 2.5kg, so allowing a bit for a plastic case and T bar yours isn't too far over that. Looks like the Elf can swing a 14 inch blank outboard so I don't think it'll have any trouble

I'd still go with oak. Does it smell like oak? And if you put something iron on it does it go black?
