    Riving knife with crosscut sled

There's also option to make a positive stop for a sled. Seen some ideas on YT before, but they don't appear trustworthy atall, but the idea is there for someone who might be of the opinion that their fingers are more important than the work, and it's up to them to make things safe, and not just...

    Table saw Crown Guard angle.

Dennis from hooked on wood, mentioned the wider guard gives better turbulence, mentioned in the review on the Axi site. From what I've found as of yet, the Harvey guard looks the smoothest overhead guard to me, and seemingly loosely based on the guards what you might see on a panel saw. It...

A real good option for fixings on box iron

Arrgh!, I seen this solution randomly just pop up, the day after I needed it :ROFLMAO: so might as well share and perhaps suck it up a bit. I'll give the link of the "short" below, but will explain for ye folks who won't watch youtube Starts off with grinding a bolt head round, for welding...

    Phase convertor

You could start by stating what single phase supply you've got. Do you have 16a outlets, some would suggest that being required for the tablesaw, as it's a three horse motor. Is it just the 13a household you've got, that has you lookin up VFD's? If so, then it's slightly frowned upon...

    Einhell TC-5B 200/1 bandsaw?

Guessing there's not simply an eccentric shaft for the thrust guide? Is the mount for the side guides adjustable? Could it be that someone got fed up with trying to set them up within the chassis, or used only wider blades for it, and instead shimmed the upper wheel out... Did any wider blades...

    Phase convertor

That one caught me out, I didn't expect to see the delta triangle symbol next to 380/400v I thought most 380/400v motors which weren't dual voltage, were strictly "fixed star wound motors". Is that phrase a nickname. Not that I haven't seen evidence of a higher voltage 380/400v motor before, but...

Parkside (Lidl) Wet and Dry Vacuum Cleaner worth buying?

Grrrr, been waiting for a vac to be stocked in the middle isle for some time. Looked at the archives (offerskd2.org) from the last few years back, and awaiting one patiently... only for yet another new model to pop up, for around the same price as to what the largest one was priced at "before...

    Phase convertor

Can you get access to the terminal housing to see if those motors are actually "fixed star wound" motors (see Bob's excellent induction motor write up on "the other place") or whether either actually might be dual voltage with six terminals, plus the earth of course. Something like below There...

Quality difference between table saw price bands

Which is kinda what I was thinking, very fimiliar to the likes of yourself, or those is the refurbishment game. Here is an excellent thread by Baja-king, which I guess you've seen already... https://www.ukworkshop.co.uk/threads/harvey-table-saw-refurbishment.116812/page-2#post-1358577 I doubt...

Quality difference between table saw price bands

Does this rule out the Sedgewick, I must look at the weight specs again. I've got 2 cabinet tablesaws... the Startrite 275 DS with sliding fence and another strange which I bought one for a hundred quid (thinking it was a farm style machine I could steal the motor from, but not so) The heavier...

Faithful no 4 smoothing plane in the box

Looks like some milling was omitted on that plane, wouldn't be surprised if it were chattery with such a distance for the cutter to travel. Some recent(ish) postings from D_W, he tested a few new planes out and mentioned of some trouble with the lever cap sitting nicely, causing some issues...

The bench mounted router stand, never seemed to have caught on?

Seems the best results might be on google, Found some folks using these for more specialized purposes like gunsmithing or electric guitar pockets whilst searching for pin routers And perhaps something more akin to what I was thinking, just to see a basic idea of using the tablesaw fence...

The bench mounted router stand, never seemed to have caught on?

Planning on getting some more hefty steel for timber shelving @clogs, and after that, the half built Scandi bench needs retractable wheels too, so am working on reclaiming space in here. Any hints of any such shed activity from outside would need to be disguised, which I've also being tapping...

The bench mounted router stand, never seemed to have caught on?

Hello folks Been wanting to do a few jobs with my tablesaw, fence abbutments and a flip down outfeed table from some old box iron, and am wondering why not make the take off table a bit wider, as I could utilize it for an outfeed table for an overhead bench mounted router stand setup. I've only...

    Evolution fury table saw £197

Not sure if this is worth looking at, i.e tilting function and true riving knife , I can't filter search on ebay but is the kinda thing I'd start looking for, as there's a good chance you'd find something much much nicer for your budget, though might be 3 phase, so VFD or motor swap needed, or...
