So I have been in the workshop but as it's Christmas it will be presents and so two are done (one not turned) but no photo's yet as they could get seen or found...but this one isn't a pressie just something I thought I'd try as I've never turned something square before - I have no idea what the...

Woodworking & craft shows and events…

I had a good time Saturday and thought it was back to pre-covid, @Peter Sefton I didn't say hello as you were very busy every time I went past! I find it strange how far Trend have pivoted to CNC at these shows, surely they should have more of the Hobbyist stuff there?!? Saw some good demos, I...

Bosch PBD 40 Drill - Table?

Nope - just set the head to the height you want, then reset/adjust the depth stop.... And you always have the digital depth gauge readout available as well - if you don't want to use the stop.... HTH Padster

Bosch PBD 40 Drill - Table?

As @fezman says there are many threads here on it. I've had mine quite a few years and it fits all my needs, I also paid a lot less than they are now, in a deal on Amazon, Black Friday is coming and I wouldn't be surprised if it got reduced again so worth keep on eye if you are seriously...

Bosch PBD 40 Drill - Table?

I have it too & +1 for @Sofa description, one word of warning I have found you can, relatively easily, completely unscrew the bolt that the handle uses and it comes off the nut - it can be 'fun' getting it rethreaded.... 🤔 HTH Padster

    Bandsaw Servicing

The other option of course...which would no doubt be the expensive one! Is contact Record and ask them if they do it or can recommend someone but as Brian says the folks here often give knowledgeable help... Padster

So sometimes I find the wood dictates what shape it wants to be, I had intended turning a very simple bowl with this piece of Sycamore but I somehow ended up with this shape....

    Bosch bench drill

Good spot Phil.... Glad I bought mine back in 2020! It's a fab drill for what I needed and fortunately was even cheaper than this when I got mine - but just to say for those looking it's good and there are quite few threads here about it and most like it. Padster

    Series 3: Britain's Best Woodworker

I have to say my wife and I like it, if you accept it for what it is, a bit of reality TV with wood! Just like things like Landscape Artist of the Year - probably not the best artists but watchable...and family programs that cover things we know something about so can critique and moan about LOL ;)

Can anyone tell me how this table has been made?

Whilst the picture you posted may not be to many’s liking, as others say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Personally it wouldn‘t be for me but I suggest from what you say you have done you easily have all the skills needed to make it…. I would suspect from the look of it that minimal...

The S word....it was once said is like fight club, and we all know the first rule of fight club ;-) I've never been great with doing it and admit to some struggles, I have/was using the Axi ripoff of the Tormek, with Tormek jigs but never really felt it was right for me or that I got to grips...
