    CA glue

Yes - too many ways to list - was there a reason for the question?

    Driving at night

I agree, I've only been driving just over a year now regularly and those types of headlights are awful - doesn't help that I'm photophobic - I carry two sets of sunglasses in my car for different light levels but at night unless I wear those glasses linked I just have to put up with it. My car...

need to cut scarf's on thin material

I was going to suggest wood aircraft repairs - I've seen them do this many times on shows about vintage aircraft renovation. If the veneer is so thin can it not just be sanded?

Knocking back grain & danish oil without going white

I find wiping down with white spirit better than water as it doesn't raise grain, not even on pine (far as I can tell) and will flash off soon enough that you can continue with what you were doing. If the grain was raised after that wet sponge it's because the sanding has cut through the oil...

    The “keeper” router plane WIP

If you do wood tapping again in brittle wood you might want to soak the area to be tapped with superglue - cheap watery (poundshop) stuff is better to really soak in, it will help stabilise the wood and make the threads stronger too. You might even cut the taps and soak again to get the deeper...

    Kids table and the journey

I'm curious on the choice of position of the dowels for the breadboard ends - can you elaborate please?

How to fix a leaking waste outlet

LOL I'm loving how some of you looked at the OP thought, "nope can't help.... but lets have a look at the crossword...".

    Currys/PC World

Agreed - I've also done this, some might call it morally wrong, but when companies have different prices between store and online it just invites customers feeling annoyed. I know the argument about store prices being higher because of store overheads and staff etc compared to online, but...

    Black ties.

Black is safe - if he wore a "hip" tie, someone would complain he wasn't being "Royal" enough. Red or blue or yellow, someone would accuse him of secret political leanings. Purple despite being the colour of kings is now seen as a badge of "alternative lifestyle". Checks, spots or stripes look...

    Kity riving knife

Looks like it could fit mine but I'll have to check the machine tomorrow, which is on a site atm. Worth having a spare for that money, unless someone comes along who doesn't have one at all and needs it, which I will defer to.

Credit (or not) where its due for customer service.

I guess from thier point of view being the bigger company "there's plenty more where you came from" - not taking into account that social media means people are more likely to share bad experiences and Draper are thus less likely to get recommendations or sales from the wider audience. Try...

    Darwin Award nomination

What he displayed wasn't stupidity - it was far far worse than that; he KNEW it was extremely dangerous, he KNEW he could suffocate... And did it anyway - all for the sake of a few hits on a youtube channel; it was complete and utter DGAF Stupid happens every day on the internet all over the...

Botched watch engraving, what would you do?

That's a really good idea - worth bearing in mind.

If you watched the US Formula 1 Grand Prix...

35 days by hand? you surely don't mean "by hand"? The whole track? they had to have used a ride along of some sort - and how did they manage to keep the lines so even? Seems trivial to most is seems, but I'm really impressed.

    Darwin Award nomination

They were always here, problem is the internet gives them more reasons to be themselves and tell everyone. I'd have let him die personally, shame there were witnesses. He and his moronic cohorts should be made to pay a fine - or raise money for firefighters charity or something.

Rustins Plastic coating - application temps.

I know the general rules of application, but I'm sure I read here somewhere about a member who had used it in "all sorts of temperatures with no ill effects" - I tried a search but didn't find it. It's basically either not use it - risk doing it outside in lower temps, or doing at the customers...
