Thanks for that @Inspector 👍 I'm afraid I dont have a manual for the VFD....I have no idea who the manufacturer of it is/was.....It does look quite old but not sure if it's the same age as the saw, which i think is dated about early to mid 1970's by the look of some of the details on the saw...

I've just picked up another Startrite 145 table saw this morning ( I've refurbished a few of these saws now but all have been 240v single phase).....This one is a 3 phase model but came with a VFD. Apparently, the last time the saw was running was about a year ago and it ran fine. However...

In these times of solar panels, electric cars, recycling, upcycling as much as we can and generally trying to reduce our "Carbon Footprint", it seems crazy to me that some people will happily buy & use a saw blade until its blunt and then just throw it away and buy a new one coz it's cheaper...

That is certainly not my experience dealing with IDS....I've been buying materials from them for more than 15 years and have only once had a damaged laminate worktop delivered. I just think you have been unlucky.....

Another point to note.....Check the specification on your Dishwasher to ensure it is suitable for connection to an external softener.....a lot of the Siemens, Bosch and Neff Dishwashers stipulate in their instructions NOT to connect to them to a softener but to utilize the softener that is built...

I'm glad you managed to find someone that could rewind the motor for an affordable price.....👍 Would you mind sharing with us how much it actually ended up costing...? It may be useful to others to see how much in comparison to the £800 you were quoted for a new motor...

Just drill 4 shallow holes in the underside and use an inserted type of foot instead .......They won't fall out or off then.....6mm holes are all thats needed and Quartz is easy enough to drill with a decent quality masonry bit......I've done it plenty of times for customers.

I have been thinking about one,...Yes! I have a few of their Gecko vacuum clamps for the tracks and they work a treat on finished/sealed materials.... Quick & easy to activate and release and no need for mechanical clamps (y)

That's a lot of faffing around, especially if you have similar sections of material but at differing lengths & depths ( which is often the case....) My point being, the clamping elements and low profile dogs make easy work of holding small sections such as I've described......Yes, a way around...

It may or may not help you in your search for a pair of suitable doors.....but Wickes kitchen cabinets are 735mm high with 731mm high doors on them. It may be worth enquiring with them to see if they do a correct height & width in a J handle profile...??
