Bandsaw question, what does this gauge represent?

The blade and tension adjustment will only give an indication and needs the correct length blade for that machine, get in touch with Tuffsaws they will tell you what blade should be on that machine.

Kitchen making and extraction hood height

As Ollie78 said above the 45deg angled hoods work well: https://www.myappliances.co.uk/angled-glass-cooker-hoods.

    16 Amp Plug & Socket.....How Tight?

110v plugs on building site's have a hard life, it was common for them to be sanded to remove digs and raised bits to enable easier fitting into the socket of a multiway distribution box or transformer. The operative dragging the box across the floor was also common when the cable was just that...

A recommendation for conspiracists/people who understand things the rest of us don't

You seem to be saying that doubting a conspiracy theory is in itself a form of conspiracy. This is the sort of crackpot "circular reasoning" which keeps Jacobs Threads rolling along!

What! as a member of a Board of Directors you paid more tax than required, that is the most stupid comment on the whole of this thread and I can't think that any same person would believe that to have been the case, in any case the BOD should have been voted out at the next AGM.

    Garage / workshop floor

Was your garage floor laid with a DPC underneath it? Makes a lot of difference to what you can do with the surface.

Gravity sucks. The empirical proof that the Earth is not flat, if it was cats would push everything over the edge. See post https://cdn.imagearchive.com/ukworkshop/data/attach/171/171188-Cat-Whiskey.jpeg

You really do not have any idea of the cost of living in France, its land that is cheap if it has an old building on it, it's still cheap, then you have to spend thousands to make it habitable, new housing bricks and mortar are on par with UK costs, Living in France is NOT cheaper you can just...

You have no idea, try living there, the costs are at least three times more expensive to get anything done on or in your house or garden, the only thing cheaper in France is wine and food, everything else is at least two or three times more expansive, all caused by the draconian employment laws...

I always take the advice of most laundry adverts and keep away from children. 🤞

    Keir Starmer

The new proposed employment laws are not dissimilar to those in France, where it is impossible to dismiss anyone no matter what the cause, the employees take three hour lunch breaks, don't think for a minute it's two hour, they don't work the half hour on either side of the lunch break, you also...

You should not quote a programme you have made up as a fact, the actual tittle of the programme is "Bargain loving Brits in the Sun" and most are OAP's that have moved to a foreign land to enable them to keep warm and eat at a reasonable cost.

    Electric vehicles

Not only aware, but know what it is for, nothing to do with fuel milage, but to do with emissions, your skewed previous post indicate that you are the one that is unaware of its function.

    Electric vehicles

That is possibly the most skewed views put out there, you can't get any mileage with the engine off.
