Why do we have so many issues with software programs

OMG, MS word on wind 10, what an effort, I can fire up my old xp and load my old word 2004 quicker than I can find a tool that has been deeply hidden on this "Fresher version" WHY? Moreover all those hookey discs can be loaded onto any amount of pc's I choose to build, for home use as a word...

Advice to a 15 yo wanting a woodwork career

I had a colleague who gave up a good career in electronics, major german company, back in the mid 90s to do cabinet making. His knowledge of wood and joints was little but his passion, design and flare was a driving factor. No youtube in those days just books and watching diy shows. From...

Interesting! I wonder how the smart gas meters works then? lithium battery? I wonder what caused the fire at the airport car park...

Computer says no! All gov sites. I tried the online pension form, for forecast, and same as you. My passport too expired, took as ID to vote in May and expecting issues I had the form to hand which, as with you, did not mention if it had to be in date. They just looked at it and let in through...

Your lucky you have buses! It will only get worse, traffic measures so put some money asside for the fines! Or get a bike, tandems, trailers and baskets available for family. Councils across the board are pushing public transport, bike lanes and traffic calming measures. Hundreds of miles of...

Surface rust or too far gone?

Jenolite rust remover. Follow the instructions. Personally I would not use grinder with abrasive pads. Doesn't look too bad the top, for me a hand wire brush, jenolite with fine wire wool.

Is there a non-destructive method to replace the door within this frame?

On the up side the architrave is off. Easy to remove lining as a whole by cutting fixings, I guess cut nails into wedges, traditional fixing method in the day. If architrave on other side carefully remove and cut between back of lining and plastered edge. I use the eclipse general purpose...
