The live edge bit is fine, it's top of that section that could have been a few mm narrower, it doesnt line up with the others 🤷‍♂️ just a minor imperfection that wasn't easy to spot while it was on the lathe.

Was getting bored of Christmas decorations so made a big tree today from a Mountain Ash log, all sections undercut fairly deeply.

Spalted usually equals soft so make sure your edge is razor sharp, I use CA glue to harden really soft spots, you can use the black lines to help hide the staining from the glue, it will look like part of the spalting.
