    India’s successful Moon Landing

Nope, git it wrong again. We need to move away from slogans, and ‘if I think it it must have happene’! The ability to buy discounted council houses by the tenants is probably one of the biggest transfers of wealth from the state to the poorer of the country that has ever occurred. It created...

Name that service or services she ran down, which was worse off, didn’t perform as well as it did under labour.

@Jake you could well be right, it could be a coincidence. Clearly, my premise of the association is an implication and extrapolation of events in the USA. In the 1940 and 50’s the period of McCarthyism swept the USA, where there was a Red under every bed and they went to the extreme of banning...

Wrong again, it’s not about profit, but about cost effective delivery. If it costs less to provide the service / product we don’t need to spend as much of the tax revenue on it, we don’t need to tax the population as much, we effectively put money back in people pockets.

You now defiantly get the Dietrich Bonhoeffern ‘stupid’ award. Just a quick google will highlight that the NHS targets were setup by Labour under Tony Blair. They were brilliant and led to huge progress and efficiency being driven through the NHS. Absolutely nothing to do with the Tories who in...

I will use your own argument, the wealthy don’t sit on their money under the mattress, they invest it usually in industry, so they are helping to create new jobs and opportunities, more effectively than any government. Equally, back in the old days people made their fortunes locally, the6 owned...

All three need to become more efficient, and are making strides to do so. The NHS sets targets for as an example efficiency savings to be attained each year. In many areas they have embraced and are world leading in efficiency. My wife used to run hospitals, and be one of those called in when a...

Ahh, when I highlight the flaws in the argument I’m chest beating? What do you call it when you make stuff up and post it as fact expecting nobody to call it out? What has Thames water a private company got to do with anything? Water company’s need to invest, change working practices and become...

Wrong, simply wrong. You have a habit of contradicting yourself. So, in one post you state that the wealthy are just hoovering up the money and depriving everyone else from it. In this post your are extolling the virtues of the state. So, have you looked at just how many civil servants are...

No, no, and again no. You clearly demonstrate yet again that you have no idea about economics, finance and how a successful business operate. Please, for the love of this forum pick up and read a few books on economics before making any further ridiculous posts on subjects that clearly no...

@Jacob, Job security comes from maintaining a competitive edge, developing new products and technologies and adapting to a changing world. It’s not an out a ‘right’ to a job for life, or having larger subsidies from the Government. Let’s not forget, that we are the Governments source of income...

Hi Keith we agree. It was terrible after the war, and became better, the point that I made which was contrary to yours is that it has continued to improve without stopping, there was no cliff fall in the 1970. It’s a far better, wealthier, healthier and longer lived now to be born that it was in...

@Jacob I can’t believe that you’re a supporter of Harold Wilson, the well known socialist who on his death was worth around £5 million. That’s back in 1995, a massive amount of money then and still today. Oh, how the socialist elite loved to set the example of how we should create a more equal...

    India’s successful Moon Landing

This has got to be your most ridiculous posts so far. Just about nothing you have written is factually correct. No wonder your ‘thriving and growing’ business failed if this is a demonstration of your financial system’s knowledge. Interesting, though, did your socialist perspective derive from...

    India’s successful Moon Landing

Read it, that doesn’t add anything, but highlights how terrible everything was and the start of a journey that has led to to where we are today, at no stage was there a step backwards so, your point is pointless, ie nothing about 1979 change the trajectory, in fact it improved afterwards if you...
