    Triton MOF001 And Incra Plate

Hi just seen the PM. Sorry, you are not doing anything wrong. We have seen this once before with another forum member, we thought it was just a one off but either Incra are drilling them small or Triton have changed the bar size. I have been in contact with Incra and they will be making the...

New Laws vs Mail Order Tools

Doesn't help me either running an tool shop where most of the business is online, just trying to look on the bright side, it's amazing how things come around in circles. Cheers Peter

    Bandsaw ripple

No I am afraid that just makes the blade rub and get hot which in turn ruins the blade. Less teeth and bigger gullets are required. Cheers Peter

Router lift and dedicated motor unit

We have a similar looking motor to others as they may share the same casting. We have worked very closely with our manufacturer to get the best components within the body including a magnetic speed sensor. I would just add the devil is in the detail. I can't comment on other products but this...

Or use a piece of waste material below or behind the piece being cut, place it on fix with a cramp and cut away. Exact positioning and no breakout!

    Table saw or Panel saw?

Hi Doug I had the Hammer K3 Winner for years a really good saw. It stayed very accurate or was very easy to adjust when required. The 315mm blade was capable of cutting 102mm high but would cut out if ripping deep Oak etc, but no problem I just did the bigger stuff on the bandsaw. I didn't...

    Hammer machines

The Hammer 4400 is an excellent machine and the planer is very good although I am not over the moon about the fence on the surfacer. SCM are very good but in my experience they don't offer much in single phase. When I was buying a new planer for the school I was keen on the SCM after having...

    Wedged tenons

The text over the video said it was a 3.3mm wedge in to a 2mm slot, the mortises didn't look widened but the tenons weren't cut off so they would splay outside the already tightened mortise, unusual but worked. Cheers Peter

    Wedged tenons

Yep the wedged tenons are unusual, I think he is trying to ensure they all look the same size but has angled them the opposite way around. I guess he has done this to get them closer to the outer edge of the tenon to help it bend. Also cuts are normally done parallel to the tenon. Cheers Peter

Mortice gauge marking and morticer bit

I always set the tips of the pins to the chisel near the cutting edge, sound like your lines will be bigger by the thickness of two half pins. Cheers Peter

    American you tube videos

Narrow strips can be dealt with in a couple of ways. Make an L section of plywood as long as your fence and attach it with cramps/screws so it lower and goes under the nut or crown guard as is used in angle work. or Isolate the machine removed the crown guard, wind down the blade and form a...

    American you tube videos

I have been watching and was in talks with Sawstop last year about being their UK dealer, still amazed they are 60 or more behind us as far as guarding goes. Sawstop offer good guards and splitters but most users seem to still take them off hoping technology will help rather than a physical...
