Was sleeting/raining on and off on the journey up this morning but the temperature remained above freezing so its come to nothing. A bit of snow on the cars around the show ground but the roads and paths are clear.

I have the older Veritas ones with A2 steel blades, love the shave not so keen on the steel, pleased to say it's been replaced with PMV11.

I would stick with the manufactures recommendations, my Felder can take 4mm per cut but I rarely take more than 3. You may damage the machine, clog up the dust extractor and leave a poor finish. Smaller finer cuts will be better all round.

Thanks @Bojam we received our first delivery a few weeks ago after hearing how good they are but I wanted to check them out for myself, pleased to say they have lived up to my expectations and our second order is in with a wider range of products including the GuidePRO Extension. Looking forward...
No I have the bigger TRA001, which the 3/8" thick Incra plate is more than capable of handling. Your smaller router also fits into Incra's pre drilled holes for both fixing and the winder position, so its screw and go!
I put together this video a few years ago to help wood workers select their timber.

As its four sided it will have the standard 45 degrees mitres in one plain, so setting your saw arbour to 45 and you are half way there. The other angle will depend on how tall the pyramid is.
