    Blade sharpening in South London

Hi all! Can anyone please recommend a good/ cheap blade sharpening service in South East London? I have four festool and two 315mm bench saw blades that I'd rather drop in myself than pay for the postage to an out of town service. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks

    Larch Wood Slab?

Thanks for that! Is there any heartwood on the other side of that first cut in Larch - I know that Larch has not much sap in it - wondering if the timber from this on the other side could still be used outside. I'm wanting it to use for the slats to make a cheap fire wood store. Any other...

Makita 3901 Biscuit Jointer Vs Bosch GFF 22A Biscuit Jointer

mmm...yeah thats a fair point :? I'd consider getting rid of my morticer and just go Domino, but the minimum width of cut is 13mm on the Dom isn't it? I'd love for it to be able to go a bit smaller in the width. Decisions decisions ;)

Building a carcass with length not in the grain.

Hi there, Is it possible to build a hardwood (Oak) carcass (20mm thick) where two of the sides are square and the other two sides are less than square with the length not in the grain? I know this is not done, but I'm wondering at what ratio this becomes truly impossible. The carcass would be...

Best 36" - 48" accurate bevelled straight edges?

Hi there, Been looking for a good straight edge for cabinet work - I have an Axminster 12" straight edge which frankly was not straight - needed to grind it down myself, but really don't fancy doing that with a big one. I've tried second hand sources but not found any well made old school...
