    Thats about right for festool, i worked for them for 2 years and was shocked by the prices sometimes but theres no doubt that the stuff is brilliant and saves you loads of time.

    Ok great as the MR stuff is more expensive. I guess cause the mdf is veneered theres less chance of moisture getting in. Thanks

    Yeah thats what i plan to do, use a a soild back piece and then glue the parts onto it to make a shaker. What do you think about using normal mdf and veneering the centre panel myself?

    Hi, I am about to start making my own range of painted mdf kitchen doors. I have seen a company offering painted mdf doors which look and feel like painted ash. Would they have used veneered mdf or is there a way of recreating this effect. I would like to offer the doors with the wood effect

    Earlex HVLP 5000 - thinning paint, how much?

    I am about to purchase an earlex, what do you think of it?? What are you spraying?? a) don't worry about covering everything with one coat, i've been told to build up the coats. You can buy a base thats spins 360 from rutlands, check it out. I'm defiantly going to get one.

    Hi, I am making some mdf doors and would like to spray them an f&b colour, is this ok? or would anyone recommend an alternative. I will be sealing the mdf then 2 coats primer and 2 coats finish would this be sufficient? What sealer and primer would be best to use? Thanks

    Right made my mind up, i'm going for the earlex! Will be making some sample doors over the next couple of weeks and then its practise practise practise!

    Well in my limited experience 'cutting' means using a slightly abrasive polishing compound to polish/sand the sprayed item. This removes the slight imperfections and gives a fantastic glossy wet look.

    I plan to buy a base with wheels on so i can push it in to the corner when not in use. Do you rate the saw then, i'm going to use it mainly for making the odd carcass and my own MFC doors. I'm hopping the saw is accurate enough for this. Set it up today and i was getting v accurate cuts.

    Yeah its a green one, it came with the big sliding table for cutting panels. Have been looking for a saw for a while and couldn't make my mind up so i just bit the bullet and brought that one. Have you got one Mcluma?
