    16 amp upgrade

    What i have done is convert the socket feed into a ring main so it could deliver 32amp but fit a 20amp mcb then fit a 16amp socket to the ring main this set up has worked fine for 5years. This way you do not have to fit a new consumer box.

    If the engine is free spin it over with the plugs out so no load for 10-15 secs then start it keep revs low when warmed set carb idle up This assumes new oil and petrol has been used and canister oil filter if fitted has been primed.

    Electicity consumption.

    Switch every thing off and see if you are still spinning the meter then check the consumption of high users, immersion ,cooker etc you can get consumption meters that go between the plug and socket for the other appliances then you can determine if its your or the electric company's problem.
