    Inca bandsaw switch problem.

Thanks, again, really appreciate all help....the problem now is that the switch mechanism is so hard to put back together, I'm no luddite but it's beaten me. so I'm left, essentially with 'hard wiring' or replacing the switch....I've put a call out "mybuilder.com" because all the sparks I spoke...

    Inca bandsaw switch problem.

Ian, apologies, only just saw your reply, thanks again, yeah the stock response I had was either headscratching or that if they couldn't order a spare part they wouldn't go any further. It;s not the heaviest machine but I've had it in and out of the car so many times today that I need new arms...

    Inca bandsaw switch problem.

Thank you SOOO much for the reply. Symptoms are/were that I would have to hold the switch in a certain sweet spot for it to fire up....It would run without the motor getting warm at all. The switch mechanism is REALLY fiddly and after one of the techs had it open today I spent 3 hours trying...

Since last post I have had no less than 5 people look at it various machine repair people and one electrician. Nobody...

    Inca Bandsaw - Help please!

I don't have a meter, no..and to be honest, I wouldn't know what I was doing even if I did, my experience with the electrical pretty much stops at wiring a plug. Is this something I should just take to an electrician or is there another solution that I might be able to do myself?

    Inca Bandsaw - Help please!

Hi there...The switch still works to some degree - ie it makes the motor wok but the mechanism is broken so that when you turn it it never stays in the "on" position...You can hold it and the saw runs nicely, but the mechanism is overly complicated for an easy repair so what I was hoping was...

Many thanks for your reply...will post some pics in a few minutes of the inside of the switch and also there was a circuit diagram tucked into the inside - it's in french so may not be heaps of help. If you now any workaround I'd be hugely grateful.
