    New Bergerac

I/we watched it - the wife watched the original series when they were first shown way back when. Me I've been catching up either recording or catchup from 'U'. Now I can't quite work out what this new series is supposed to be; some of the storyline seems to be present day, some seem to be...

New router collet too small for 1/2 inch router cutter

Wa the collet(s) loose in the packing or already in the Router when you opened the box? But it does look that you have the problem solved anyway. While you are obtaining the replacement router get a 1/4inch collet at the same time - the fixing is common across the Triton router range - that is...

    The colour of plywood.

I appreciate what I'm about to say may not be pleasing to hear but stain is easy to apply to get a consistent colour. What I regard as more important is the quality of the construction. Do plan on buying plywood with many, odd number of ply's (layers). I'd suggest if you are intending to make...

Wooden Driveway Gates - Acceptable Width

A (concrete) pad in the ground where the 2 gates meet and 'Pin's' in the bottom of the gate stile. By 'Pin' I'd use a 8 or 10mm Coach Bolt screwed in so the gate stands around 25-35mm clear of the Pad. In a gravel drive you could use a 200mm square of a concrete paving slab.

Wooden Driveway Gates - Acceptable Width

Family property gateway is 3m wide with single gate - but is Farm Gate style. Depending on your planned construction and is the gateway level you could have a roller bearing on the non-hinged end of each gate or at worst a support pin that the gate rests on when closed and fully open.

    Axminster prices

I use a range of stores for tools and do have a tendency to go to what many people regard as the expensive shops - because I can inspect the tools before buying, take advice from the shop staff and have somewhere I return to if I have a problem. In recent years I've bought a ("premium brand")...

    An embarrassing moment..

So many names; so many uses. As a diver it is known as (O'3) Jollop or 'Vet Slip' - in the UK comes in 1/2 or 1 Litre squeezy bottles. For the poor souls who have just been subject prostrate cancer and indignities of the drugs involved with the cure which causes your willie to shrink for which a...

    Melting Lead

Melt the lead in a pan or Tim can as other have suggested. Do it outside. Once the lead starts to melt turn the heat down so it all melts slowly. You can poor melted lead directly into timber but if you do as I suggest and keep the heat just enough to make all the lead go fluid and take off the...

    Trend air shield fan speed?

Mine is around 3 years old. The battery pack cells are not li-Ion, instead older technology (NIMh). I'll check the charger voltage later. As CSM comments the mast is supplied with a 'Manometer' to measure the air flow into the mask - a target of 25 Lt's per minute (the 'at work' average...

    Sharps...

When my last tenant moved out he left behind to 'Sharps' bins. Tried everywhere to get them disposed of, (his) Doctor's, local hospitals, Pharmacy - no one wanted to know. Then I found out that the local waste (the council dust bin service) service incinerates the rubbish they collect. So I...

    Sliding Sash Bow Window Repair

My late father would have been pleased to see your work on that window. As a time served C&J he was never that happy making or repairing sliding sash windows. He made many casement windows including several curved ones. Well done for taking that job on and making such a good job.
