Had to take advantage of a rare dry and sunny weekend here in Wales! Had been needing to get this done for a few months!
All oak.

Funny thing is I don't even have a lathe (yet)!! Just planning for the future, ha!

Won't she be puzzled when she sees you have painted the firewood? Or is this your way of broaching the subject of buying a lathe?

Hate to say it, but you may well have been better leaving that in spilt lengths and painting the ends until you get a lathe. I suspect it's all going to split too badly to be of much use in a month or two's time...
