Hi all

Been quiet for a while but have been making some more pens! Couple of slimlines for my English class - first in reclaimed teak from a science work bench that was being thrown out!! (Along with the whole classroom's worth but don't despair caring souls like me made sure they didn't go to the dump  ). Custom made centre band from black acrylic:

Second one is another yew one:

Finally, a new pen kit for me - a Polaris pen, set of 5 kits, 5 spare tubes and free bushes for £16 - from Australia!! Mad  It's the third of my four homecast pink resins and I have to say that leaving the resin a few weeks before turning it really helps to lessen the smell! The pen has a nice weight in the hand and I like the fatter tube, just not sure I like the top...

More nice work,Stewart - the yew is my personal favourite;great choice of background to show them off against :D

they look good to me stewart, well done. I really lke the shape of the polaris pen, its easy to do and is lovely to hold too. Not sure your white balance is right with these shots, had a go at changing one of them.

I think they are great.
my preference is the yew. It's a favourite wood of mine. I also think steve's probably right about the white balance, the pics seem a little yellow
Made up for it though with your background setting. (Real photographer stuff)
I know what you mean about the resin smell, seems to stay forever.

Thanks for all the comments.

The pictures are straight off the camera - I do usually twiddle with them in photoshop but no time last night for that! Spent the whole weekend remodelling no.2 daughter's bedroom so not much pen time or photo time!

Hi
Had a quick tweak of the picture and took out some of the yellow. Looks more like the pen in real life now..

Not quite there yet, Greggy - got a few unassembled ones but still need to do nearly 10 more!
