Year old plum

Hi
Hoping for some guidance please. The piece of plum given me was cot down a year ago,it's 8" at the fork and 21" long.
Would i be best to look at making a bowl out of the crotch? If so how do go about it.
Would appreciate any advice at all on this.

As CHJ's piece above. But make sure you that the cut for splitting it is in the correct orientation better images are further down in the link he posted above.
