The Yandles weekend is looming, who's going and what day?

As an incentive Philly buys the teas, but he could be persauded to take us all to the pub for lunch.

:D Its on easter weekend isn't it :?:

edit
just found it on the web 7&8th so it will be the saturday then

martyn :D

Wow guys, you are really early with this one! In case there should be any confusion, this show is on 7th and 8th April. We'll be there of course and look forward to seeing the usual crowd.

Between now and then though there are a couple of other shows worth mentioning;

This weekend I'll be at the Paskins show in Kidderminster and Mark our sales manager will be at the Isaac Lord Show in High Wycombe.
We're also sending Mark to the Glasgow show this year which is the weekend after.

If you're out and about this weekend come and say hello, I'd be especially happy to see some people at Paskins as this is a new show for us and some friendly faces would be most welcome!

I'd love to come but it's a bit far for me im afraid.

A month before isn't early. Six months before is merely prudent...

Thought I might have been able to make it, but nope, doesn't look like it. :( Sigh.

Cheers, Alf

Friday;

Hope they get a bit more stock in than they had when I called yesterday.

Came out with a bottle of Super Glue

Several "turning accessories" that have been on my replenishment list have not been re-stocked in the last 3 months.

Turning Blank stocks were up in quantity and in larger sizes but as I did not need any ....... O:)

Stocks of native timbers were not what I would call best buys, a good proportion had splits or were waney edged, knotted etc. & would have produced low yields, must have either caught them on a bad day or my midas ancestry is failing to accept the prices.

Plenty of nice Slabs of exotics, few of which were in my price bracket and those I look for in the 2nd grade category had far too many shakes and critter mods to be of any use even for my turning, pen makers with a penchant for resawing could have salvaged some but not cheaply.

Terry; Need some pointers for location of Paskins (POST CODE) in Kiddy' it has been a while since I went to school on the Kiddy rd. at Stourport and have no idea where all these new fangled trading estates are.

It will be the Friday for me

Last time I was there Philly never turned up so I bought the teas but the people from the forum were a very nice bunch and if Philly is not around on the Friday I don't mind standing in for him again (for the teas that is)

Nigel

Saturday for me!
Thanks for standing in for me, Colin-very kind :D
And everyone-please ignore Waka's pub lunch comment. Please 8-[
Philly

Chas

Rather than hijack this thread too much (and, being cheeky, to ensure maximum exposure) I shall start a new thread about the Paskins show.

Loks like I'll be going on Friday, then I won't be tempted by Philly to but things I don't really need.

Nigel I'll take you up on ther tea and I'll buy the cakes.

Nigel
Apologies, it must be the PVA getting to me
Well if Waka's going Friday maybe he could take you to the Pub
Forgetful :D

As an incentive Philly buys the teas, but he could be persuaded to take us all to the pub for lunch

Is this a good idea? Look what happened last time - a plate full of used roast potatoes between us! Only Philly could take us to lunch at a pub that did not even have crisps... :( :) :)

I am available Friday or, pending a Papal dispensation , Saturday and can bring sandwiches or even some ex army surplus K rations... :p :p

Regards
martin
