Unfortunately I didn't take the Kodak Brownie this time, Tom had his camcorder though so there'll probably be some pics on the Haven site when he's finished his walkabout - Rob

Ended up coming away with a Charnwood W650!

Only went for a fiddle and came away nearly £800 lighter (that was the saw plus some other bits).

Having looked at the axi 10" earlier this is smaller and will fit in the workshop better, will also do all I want and has a sliding table.

Only downside is woeful user instructions :evil: and the complete lack of assembly instructions (double :evil: ). Whilst I can fiddle and probably get it right if I screw up I suspect the warranty would be invalid.

Let's see what Charnwood say!

Nice machine init? As you say, it's got a smaller footprint than the Ax or SIP with a very nice slider and usable capacities...just right for the smaller 'shop IMO. I'll be doing the same thing at the Sept show :wink: - Rob
