I'd be very wary of buying expensive burr like that without actually seeing it.

Also at 4.5" thick by the time you removed the bark there wouldn't be much burr left. IME. A gorgeous looking piece of burr all the same.

I've been burnt once on ebay with timber, never again. Unless you know the seller well of course.

It is also going to cost you £35.50 at the moment and a day to go. You can get them for that sort of price at Yandles and probably other places as well and as Tam said you can se and handle it for yourself. Does look nice though.
