More info you ever would want. The short of it is that it appears they didn't pay a bill, or are in a dispute--or simply moving domains...these are what the "Transfer Lock" status often indicates.

Dw..it would appear that the site has gone down as a ping shows it as unreachable.

Over the years it has been one of my most used internet sites. It obtained free midi music and I suspect the music industry has given it the KO.
