Wot wood?

I have just been sent an e-mail from a friend asking me if I can say what wood this jewlery box is? She thinks that it could be birds eye maple? Any ideas guys?

Well the top is I reckon. Can't really tell from pics but the rest is probably Maple too.

I think it looks more like quilted maple .
