One of the main causes are female hormones in watersystems. The use of contraception pills and natural estrogen in womens urine entering watercourses has an effect on wildlife and potentially people https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/birth-control-in-water-supply/Could it be this that has turned the frogs gay?
Alternative to teflon is plain cast iron. It's very non stick, better than enamelled, and cooks brilliantly. Frying pan a bit heavy for tossing pancakes though. What's the alternative to chemicals?

Also cheap and lasts forever.

Really? I'd never have guessed!Cast iron is still chemicals..
Me too. You don't even need soap to wash them, just very hot water. You do need to learn how to use them effectively though. My cast iron frying pan works better than some nonstick pans.
It takes a little work to season a new one, but unlike modern non stick, it will last for generations.
Iron is an element, there may well be other metals in there, but no "organic" chemicals. Personally, I don't know anyone who would classify Fe as a chemical.Cast iron is still chemicals..
Well what is it then? If course it's a chemical.Iron is an element, there may well be other metals in there, but no "organic" chemicals. Personally, I don't know anyone who would classify Fe as a chemical.
Cast iron is apparently 2 to 4% carbon. I believe it's the presence of carbon that differentiates organic from non organic compounds.Iron is an element, there may well be other metals in there, but no "organic" chemicals. Personally, I don't know anyone who would classify Fe as a chemical.

Yes, there's far more than simply organic chemistry and iron is biologically active and necessary for life. Many organic compounds are neither, but equally 90% of what you eat is organic chemistry. "Chemical" is such a broad classification (to a first approximation all matter) as to be essentially meaningless in an everyday context.Well what is it then? If course it's a chemical.
