For me it is the highlight of the Xmas TV schedule - beats Mary Poppins any day!

Problem is that its actually filmed in the summer each year and 'held over' to the xmas schedules. I used to watch it regularly, back to the days of Bill Kazmier and Geoff Capes; Magnus ver Magnusson and Gary Taylor et al. Now it seems to have got a bit silly with loads of heats and preliminaries, plus interminable 'series events' on sky sports almost on a weekly basis. For me its lost its sparkle as a unique event and become another 'money sport'. Or perhaps I am just a grumpy old so and so :roll:

Marius for the 5th time.

Actually very exciting with Derek Poundstone a point in front going into the atlas stones and ahead at the last stone but dropped it with Marius putting it away for the title having not lead the entire final.

Almost as last minute at Lewis Hamilton.

My mrs and I both love it, the camaraderie is fantastic. It may not be Marius next year though, Poundstone and Ortmeyer will give him a good run. Poor old Terry had a stinker
