Hi
I have posted on here before regarding making my own workshop cabinets, I queried the use of MDF as the main material for the sides and cupboard base.
I am about to purchase the material and still have a few queries
1, I can get 8*4 22mm MDF at 19.00 + vat , will this sag if i use it for the bottom of the cupboard over a distance of 1200mm which is my target width (i do not intend to brace it)
2, I intend to make three 1200 sliding draws, is MDF a bit heavy for this purpose and would I be best using birch ply and if so what thickness
3, Will the MDF take the sliding side rails for the draws
4, Do you know a good make of sliding rails, the Rutlands model looks a pricey even with the 15% discount
5, Birch play at 8*4 18mm is 42.00 + vat a sheet, for what I intend to use using all birch play wouldn't break the bank, should I forget the MDF ?
7, do you know where I can get the plastic adjustable feet, like on kitchen units ?
