The older ones were.More recently,but still quite a while ago,William Tows developed the Hustler ad you could build your own wooden example.There are hits that he was also resposible for the wedgy Lagonda of the same era.

The Hustler just looks like one enormous crumple zone. Not sure I'd want to drive one.

There is an urban myth that Morgan cars have a wooden chassis. It's not true.

But they do have an Ash frame.

My dad's pal had a 1930 something MG TC. It got woodworm.

my van needs a total body off resto...Ash frame....inc floor boards.....
Nightmare waiting to happen...!!!!!!
need a 4' plus, treadle guillotene, 4' plus pan folder and an English wheel......
that lot will take a couple of years to make.....then I will take the plunge......
