Well what did you expect from me.
The great grandson spends so much time in the workshop when he visits and is starting to want more tools so I have started to make a few for him. I made a hammer the other day along with a glue bottle. today I set to and made a plane and square.

Time spent on making all of the bits in the photo about 1 1/2hrs time waiting for glue and finish to dry forever well it always seems like it is.

All of the bits are made from my scrap draw which is a good thing as it always fills quicker than I can use it.

Still have more to make

A bit of sandpaper on the plane base and he has three usable tools, don't forget the Elastoplast's for the cuts, blood blisters etc.

I Know who is getting the most enjoyment out of this, don't try and deny it.

And everything from bits left over from other projects just be careful what woods and finishes are used as you know kids everything into their mouths(depending on how old that is)

Lovely job! I remember having a work bench with a little vice and plastic tools when I was about 7 or 8. I'm looking forward to making some like this now. My first grand child is due in May.
