I would quite like to get a new subscription to a woodworking magazine. Its been a while since I bought one and just wondered what magazines people preferred and recommend?

I used to read Good Woodworking a lot, but I have struggled to find it in my local shop

If you go to a big WHsmith they have most of them. I'd bought all of them for a couple of months before deciding which felt ideal for me. I went for good woodworking but not sure it is meeting my needs really.

Hmm...Slemishwood....Michael?

If you try Eason's in Royal Avenue, Belfast? I was in there Saturday and they had 8 different mags. They used to also carry the excellent British Woodworking, but since Nick Gibb's accident, it has not been published.

Cheers Sam,

I popped into Easons in Ballymena and they only had popular Woodworking and the assistant said they don't really carry them any more. Next time I am in Belfast I will try Easons on Royal Ave and the WH Smiths up that way too!
