Bl00dy glad things have moved on a bit since then, that looks like hard work, imagine the amount of sweat and effort needed to get that thing up to 3000 rpm

******** I can't see them. At a download speed of 33.6 kbps I have snowballs chance in Hades of seeing them. I can see it coming. I am going to have to persuade SWMBO to move to a house with an outside shed or garage and broadband ](*,)

On top of that I ran out of electricity, am on a key metre and live 8 miles from the nearest town and my car is losing water like a British Waterways mainline and I daren't use it more than necessary so I can't do any turning this weekend  unless I persuade the boss that all that washing isn't really necessary.

I do love living on Exmoor really just that sometimes the hassles outweigh the beauty

You need to do a little lateral thinking Pete, hook the wife's pushbike up to the lathe; if you can get her into top gear there should be enough to power a lamp too

Cheaper than a gym and it'll make her feel wanted and useful

I don't think that there is enough room up in the attic for a push bike as well Graham. However if I put a hole in the ceiling I may be able to connect her old treadle sewing machine up via a long band........

Pete
