hi o wise ones.

a few years back i bought a box of woodies at an auction for a £5 note no one bid so i got lumbered or so i thought on cleaning some space in the garage i found them today under the bench where my wife had put them on one of her cleaning sprees.

so after going through the box i have ( 1x14" jack 2x smoothers 1x60 1/2 1xrecord41/2 and a 11/2"plane a woody).

the 11/2" plane has a peugeot freres iron that is 1/8 tapered blade with a chip breaker both stamped that i have never seen before has anyone any information on this please?

the others i have not cleaned up yet so i do not know what they are yet!

thank's in anticipation,

woodbutcher.

Hi :D ,
The Peugeot freres plane irons were made in France by the same company of Peugeot cars (the lion is the symbol of both) and are considered very good irons. I do not know if they are made still today.
Ciao,
Giuliano :D
