Hi,

Is anyone else planning on going to the Woodfest in St Asaph's (5th -7th June)?

http://www.woodfestwales.co.uk/north/

I'm going on the 5th June - be good to meet up with anyone from here if they'll be there.

I went last year and there was a big tent dedicated to wood-turning, as well as several local wood suppliers and a number of stalls selling interesting second-hand tools.

Hi TM,
We have been over to Woodfest last two years and combined the visit with a week visiting the relations in and around Bangor but unfortunately with the move of date it is right in the middle of my daughters GCSE exams so we cant go.
Shame really it would have been interesting to meet you and other forum members over there.
Regards,
Ian

There will again be a woodturning tent again this year.

I will be there on the Saturday on our club stand - Cheshire and North Wales Woodturners.

It is generally a good day out - weather permitting - for adults and kids.

It is easy to get to - just off the A55. It is about 50 minutes from the junction of the M6 and M56. So not really too far for anybody in the South / West Manchester area.

Hope to see a good turnout there.

Hi TM,
I hope to be at the Woodfest but uncertain which day,(good to be retired!) Its not far for me just the other side of Whitchurch (Shrops), it would be nice to meet up with other forum members.

Woodfest Wales starts tomorrow Friday 5th and continues on Saturday and Sunday.

Hope a number of forum members can attend. If you can go give it a try. It has been a good day out in the past.

It is a shame the good weather we have enjoyed recently seems to be "turning".

Hi TM
I'm afraid I will not be able to make the woodfest as I had hoped, I have a new workshop 14 x 10 being delivered and erected on Wednesday morning, and I'm frantically pulling down my old shed and have to concrete the base by Sunday night for it to harden off in time.

I hope you all have a good time and get chance to meet other member's of the forum, hope you will let us know how you went on.
All the very best Dave.

Hi Dave,

Perfectly understandable - new workshop has to come first :) Good luck with your concrete, hope you get it all done in time.
