Hi. I've just bought a second hand table and chairs set (solid wood, made in India) and want to nourish and protect it.

I thought of starting with a few applications of oil to hopefully get some moisture back in but I also want to wax it.

My question is, would it be ok to wax it after the oil?

I know that some will ask if it has any sort of finish on but the truth is that I don't know.

My reasoning for oiling first is that I assume that oil would penetrate more than wax whereas the wax afterwards would provide a tough protection.

Grateful for any advice. Thanks.
